Recipe for a Calm Dog

RECIPE FOR A CALM  DOG                        Testimonials
36 pages ~ $12.95 + S&H

Dogs are the ultimate teachers and I credit the thousands of dogs that have move through my life (with humans in tow)
with helping me understand their finer nuances. Hundreds of hours on the back of a dog sled in the mountains with a bunch
of opinionated huskies began the journey of really understanding the subtle complexities of canine behavior. Over the years
I have observed a common set of principles and tools that bring nearly all dog training and behavior situations
under better control.

I've also learned that when dog owners say, "I just want my dog to come when called!" or "stop knocking the kids over" or
"not growl at my husband when he hugs me" or "stop biting at my pant legs when I walk across the lawn" or
"settle down!" what they are really saying is that they want their dog to be safe, polite, well-mannered and easy to live with.

The challenge as a dog trainer is always to transfer my knowledge, experience and intuitive wisdom to the dog owner in
a short period of time. I continually adjust my teaching based on feedback I get from owners. The feedback I look for is
a big "ah ha" moment when the light bulb goes on and they say something like, "Wow, that makes so much sense."

I have to admit, when working with behavioral clients it is not uncommon for them to comment during the second
appointment that they cannot believe how different their dog is behaving in such a short period of time. This booklet
is the cornerstone of all of my training and behavior modification work.
It has technical "how-to" information plus examples of how to apply it in real life. It
includes basic training tips along with intuitive wisdom.

My Recipe for a Calm Dog is both effective and do-able for the average busy family. You will see improvement in your dog's behavior by working with just a few
of the ingredients. Using the entire recipe will result in a dog that will be the envy of your social circle. Trust me.

         Testimonials

I have to begin by saying that I don't expect all that much from dog training and behavior books these days. Partially because I've been training for so long,
it's not all that easy to come across books that "wow" me. And partially because the current quality of training books in general far too often leaves much
to be desired, in the information presented, the experience and knowledge of the trainer, not to mention the writing itself! Now, I admit, I was expecting a good
book from Lisa. But honestly, not this good! These 31 pages are packed with experience, wisdom, humor, and plain good sense. I read it and I laughed out
loud; I chuckled warmly; I simply thoroughly enjoyed myself - all the while absorbing Lisa's wonderful, wonderful advice on how to have a calm dog! Lisa's
"recipe" is no gimmick - it is true good dog training advice - cleanly, clearly, and engagingly presented.

After reading Lisa's book, I am re-inspired me to go teach my dog something - and I already enjoy training! Recipe For a Calm Dog not only provides dog
owners with the "ingredients" to succeed, it lights a spark of excitement for the tremendous possibilities that can come from having a well-trained dog.
   I highly recommend it!
